I was born and bred in East Yorkshire and grew up with the sea and countryside on my doorstep, so I’ve have always been very active. After studying in the North East, I moved back to Yorkshire and spent many years working in the NHS, before travelling down to Chesterfield and moving into teaching as a university lecturer. I picked up triathlon around 15 years ago and love to spend a weekend running and cycling around the Peak District. I’ve competed in various races in the UK, Germany, Switzerland and Abu Dhabi and although I still love to compete, I find most enjoyment from training, coaching and weekend bike rides that include a good cake stop!

I’ve really benefited from regular sports massages over the past few years, finding they help me recover from training, general aches and pains and overall just make me feel and move better. In 2022, I decided to put my interests and experience into practice by training as a sports massages therapist, initially completing my level 3 qualification, followed later my level 4.

Sports massage is for everyone, not just athletes, so if you want to move better, prevent injuries or help manage general aches and pains, get in touch to arrange an appointment.
